Often times I hear it in the air

How you need to be tough, street smart and not so emotionally available

because people will hurt and take advantage of you.

That’s true

So all around are souls walled by past hurts and grief

Walking around like arrows heads barbed and ready to sting at the slightest provocation

The result?

A multiplication of bruised hearts in the form of children

Expressing their anger in messy relationships

walking and testing the waters of sexuality.

If we were to peel off the masks of toughness, prideful promiscuity, tattooes,  drugs & alcohol

we really will find bleeding children.

Who just stayed in the attic of their hearts and only come out to play with their favourite toys of escape.

But you dear Christian

Let me tell you..

You will be hurt

Your heart can and will take it

For pain is part of the very walk and nature of God as demonstrated by the weeping of Jesus

When our humanity clashes with pain, our faith finds His comfort

In darkness we find light

In pain we find faith

and there’s really no way around it

To you the person who thought you hurt an innocent soul

Yes you did

You found in them a naive gullible outlet for the inconsistency of your character

It’s true they opened up their hearts and believed you.

But did you know that was God?

God showing you a glimpse of His light

Did you know through their naivety God was showing you how posssible and tangible His light is?

Nevermind their hurt, He’s their father and He knows how to heal them.

But the message was for you..

That not everyone is like you

That everyone can be like Christ

In this dark dark world

That God has hope in humanity through Christ and He will sacrifice His very own

Give them up for their hearts to bleed on the cross of your wickedness.

Just to save you from yourself..

So before you go beating your chest in pride as to how many gullible hearts you’ve been able to deceive

Think on this,

Plot twist : – you are missing the point.

Slowly killing your own heart..

The tragedy of it all.
