Shades of girl (intro)

33/133

Ps 65 verse 3

‘Our faults defeat us, but you forgive them’

Just the scripture I needed to stop sobbing and get out of this bed.

It’s been months after my terrible breakup, and I’m wondering when the regret will wash itself away.

Hi,

If you’re reading as a girl, your mind will probably take you back to a similar hurt.

You too will be reminded of the many tears shed and unanswered questions.

Breaking up always sucks because you lose a part of yourself.

It’s hard to slide into your own ways, when another person was practically embedded in your daily routines.

You have to learn how to live with the void.

You have to pick yourself up

Find your happy.

That’s all good but most days it’s easier to sulk.

Easy to remind yourself of the good times

Don’t worry, dear reader, this is not a post about getting over a breakup.

It’s a deep quest to discover what it means to be a girl _ at whatever age or stage.

I’ve been here a couple of times.

Naked in front of my mirror questioning my existence.

It occured to me however, whatever my struggle,no matter my story, it’s not exclusive to me.

There are girls all around

With similar quests to find out why it’s tough being GIRL.

Many have come before me, who have navigated the maze of WOMAN.

Many will come after me with similar questions

Of why they are here

Why they are hurting

Why they can cry at the snap of a finger

And laugh the next minute

Why do we feel insecure?

Why does bravery annoint us only after birth?

What kind of Woman are you?

What are your strengths and flaws?

What has been your story with God?

What is your journey?

What is your shade

Dear girl???….
