The first sight of him took her nine-month pain to its heels _ Oblivion.
Fragile and innocent, he was but a mass of skin and
blood _ her little minion.
He could barely open his eyes
but she saw them alright.
Wide, clear, devoid of worldly lies.
Beautiful was the only word her lips parted to pronounce
Perfectly describing her son, only 6 kilos and an ounce.
A sight to behold he was _ her first child.
They had tried but none had described
the sound of joy her heart would beat
by simply watching him breathe.
Morning sickness paved way for late night cries
But Oh how she loved him….deeply.
She would fight everyone for him.
He was from her!
Although she knew it was God
Still she made him
He was hers!
In her arms he grew
She watched him blosom
From her back to the cradle..the floor to the streetwalks
Caught him each time he had fallen
Wiping off tears, blood and fluid.
She had shielded him as much she could and so much more
And that, was the reason..
That, was what made her heart ache more.
As she looked at him in the witness stand..
Numb and indifferent he was.
The cries of the victims she could not see
Deafened to their demise
She only heard his soul’s plea.
The prosecution listed an endless account of his misdeeds
but why could she only hear his heart bleed?
He was hers _ still.
She had done well with the rod.
Not spared him in prayer
With counselling, she tried to weed out his addictions
Persistently over-dosing him with Godly affection.
No wonder her chest got attacked with pain
At the sight of him, wrists cuffed so tight you could touch the vein!
The irony of it ached!
‘For how can you imprison a soul already bound in invisible chains?’
What he did was terrible; killing all those innocent people
A murderer who showed no penitence
The death penalty was inevitable
But why did she give not a care???
The answer was evident
He was hers _ still.
In twenty years he slipped from her hands to face a firing squad
Face masked, her, he could not see
Her baby, resigned to die … leaving no legacy
Thoughts of not so much as a goodbye
Sent her sanity flying into madness profile
And not until the body trembled did she reckon what she had done.
The blood-stained hands recounted her leaping in front of him at the sound of the gunshots
inadvertently..
but quite on purpose!
All seven bullets ripped her body till she moaned to welcome the darkness of death
And he still couldn’t see her!!!
..but it didn’t matter…
She loved him.
Especially when he could not see it.
She died for him.
Especially when he did not need it.
The other bullets failed to richochet so he died too
But YOU didn't!
When Jesus took your fiery darts of iniquity
You didn’t!
With HIS body and blood
He ripped your sins apart.
No more imprisoned by your flesh
He sentenced you to Righteousness.
A plan of redemption no heavenly creature could fathom
Particularly the devil, for he thought he won with Adam.
How can you
Like the moon playing hide and seek with the clouds
Refuse His salvation and Great Love.
From the rooftops to the hills
Over and over, you hear Jesus is King
He awaits you…
You searched Him not but still … HE Found You.
He’s calling you by name…saying,
‘Just come into My arms…take a dip in my bloodpool’.
Leaves me wondering
Why?, for all the riches of Solomon..
When He finally comes to judge the world
Why on earth
Would you want to still be found
GUILTY???
