You can pray!

Scripture Reading

Acts 12:6

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

Eph 6:18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people

Beloved what a blessing it is to have the powerful weapon of prayer at our disposal! Prayer is the spiritual weapon we have, to petition The Father to come to our aid at all times. Whether in times of trouble or calm, peace or storm, in little or plenty, we can always call upon the name of the Lord. Jesus taught us to always communicate with the Father, to pray without ceasing, and to pray all kinds of prayers. We have the Holy Spirit who also helps and teaches us how to pray. Beloved, when all physical doors are shut, the gates of heaven are open to you if only you will pray.

Many times, in situations that looked impossible to overcome, men and women lifted up prayer and God answered. Beloved, no matter the situation, no matter how helpless you feel, no matter how hopeless the situation seems, no matter how impossible it seems, you can pray! If you can’t figure out which way to go, you can pray. If you don’t know what the future holds, you can pray. If the situation is impossible to overcome, you can pray. If you are filled with anxiety and worries, burdened and heavy laden you can still pray. You have the weapon of prayer and you can use it. Call upon the Name of the Lord, pray in understanding and pray in the spirit. Pray the Word of God over the situation, pray and pour your heart out like Hannah (1 Samuel 1:15).

In difficult times, you can pray. In the stormy seasons of life, you can pray. In the peaceful, abundant, fruitful seasons you can pray. Beloved, at all times, you can and you should pray. Prayer is our communication channel with God. By Prayer, we seek God and commit the situations to Him. When we pray, we are committing our situations to the Most High and leaving it in His powerful Hands. Beloved, as a believer you are not helpless because even if you can’t do anything at all, you can pray. Pray about everything. Pray about the big things and the little things. Pray beloved. Pray without ceasing. Do not give up. Rise up and pray. Rise up and call upon the name of the Lord. Use the weapon of prayer and call upon God. We have a God who answers prayer. A God who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ever ask or think. (Eph 3:20). He is a Mighty Warrior and a loving Father. He is with us, He is our Refuge and Strong Tower, and He is a prayer answering God. He said if we will pray, He will hear us. Let us be encouraged and lift up prayer to God today. Let us have faith and trust that no matter the situation beloved, we have the weapon of prayer. You are not without help. You can pray. You can pray to God and He will hear you.

Memory verse

Jeremiah 29:11-12

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you
