Tenderize my heart!

Scripture Readings

2 Cor 5:16-17

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Ezekiel36:26-27

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Precious one, we are made anew in Christ and we have the ability to become like Christ. The Scripture says, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away and all things have become new.

This means you are no longer who you used to be, and having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness (rom 6:18). No matter who you used to be: angry, bitter, promiscuous, jealous, slanderer, murderer, isolated, mean-spirited, among others, you can change. It is possible to change. He is the God who saves and totally saves! Not only does He deliver us from the condemnation of hell, He transforms our lives and restores us to beauty.

Beloved, God can change your inflexible, willful, strong impenitent heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. He can make your stubborn heart one that can feel, enjoy, love God and love men. God can and will teach you to love. He can break down all the strongholds, fears, anxieties, worries and bad perceptions that had you enslaved in bad habits and addictions. Brethren, fellowship with God mends our broken hearts and restores us unto love. The more we commune with God, the more beauty we are able to behold in Him and the more we are able to love others as He has loved us.

God will change you, if you can just avail yourself. He will make you brand new, he will restore the joy of your salvation. He will make you anew, renewing your thoughts and attitude, and enable you to be patterned after the nature of God – truly righteous and holy. (Eph 4:24). It is never too late or impossible for someone to change. God is truly capable of tenderizing our hearts, making us love Him and love others like Him. So let us seek in prayer today, that our hearts will be tender towards God and towards men. That we will be more and more like Christ today. That our stony hearts will be taken away and, in its stead, God will give us a heart of flesh, a heart of love, the heart of Christ. Shalom.
