Don’t skip Class
Beloved, we are called to a great purpose! The purpose of spreading the Gospel is the mandate God has left in our hands. This is the overarching purpose and vision for us as believers, from which all other prosaic duties, dreams and desires are produced.
Beloved the Christian life is not about the cycle of sin and confess; sin and confess and constant fighting of our enemies. There is work to be done, and when we continue in that cycle, not only do we frustrate the move of God in our lives, we also delay our purposes.
One of the devil’s strategies is distraction through obscurity. He keeps us in these cycles of repetitive sins, of passiveness or laziness, which keeps us from growing. We rather find ourselves going in circles distracted from the work of growing to fulfill our purpose in the Lord. Brethren, we have signed up for schooling by the Spirit of God on how to live this righteous life. We have to be agressive about living this life: and the more we skip or stall the growth process with our unwillingness to turn away from the old life, the unwillingness to obey Him and to release the weights that hold us back, the more time we waste in fulfilling our mandate here on earth.
‘I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work’. (John 9:4)
A time is coming where we have to give account and we must therefore decide absolutely to make ourselves available to be Spirit-taught.
Beloved, the more you grow, the deeper you fall in love with The Lord and His ways. He is yearning for us to come closer and draw deeper from His well. There is so much more to learn, so much more to do than we are currently doing, and the Grace is available for us to do! So avail yourself today. Give yourself to Word Study, to prayer, to fasting and fellowship. Take a book this month to study, or a character to study. Learn about fruit of the Holy Spirit, evangelism, holy doctrine etc. Don’t skip class but rather show up in obedience and be Spirit taught on how to fulfill your God-given purpose. Shalom!
Memory verse
John 14:26
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
Nehemiah 9:20
“You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, And did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, And gave them water for their thirst.”
