Cool of the day
Gen 3:8
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Jesus offers rest for those who come! He is ready to commune with anyone who will choose to lean in to Him for His help.
The days are often busied with the prosaic duties of life. From the time we wake up to when we return to our beds, we have to show up to life; to our duties and vocations. This means an average day is often filled with so many responsibilities that demand our minds, bodies and effort. Sufficient for the day are its troubles and each and every day, for the rest of our lives, there will always be many things on on our to-do list. Children have school, adults have work and social responsibilities:m; everyone has something on their plate. There is none idle, for we have to till the ground in toil to eat of it thereof.
The tendency to get weary and burdened is very high, as we tackle the many challenges each day brings. But beloved, the good news is we have a Saviour who can give us rest! In the garden of Eden, God walked in the garded, in the cool of the day seeking communion with Adam and Eve. There is a certain level of contact we need to have with God every single day, for our dose of Grace, power, insight, direction; protection and guidance for our day.
Beloved, we are designed to be helped, for we are not well equipped to handle the day by our own strength.
Jesus boldly calls out to people who are specifically weary, and heavy-laden; carrying the burdens of life. He asks us to come to Him so He can give us rest. So He can commune with us and give us the needed tools to live the victorious life everyday.
Let us be encouraged to make a habit of seeking God everyday, of running to Jesus with our burdens, weariness and cares everyday.
Determine to start your day with God, and also make time during the day to commune with Him again. Do not face each day on your own strength. Come to Jesus, lean into His presence, make time to pray, to speak in tongues, to meditate on a scripture. Be deliberate about finding the cool of your day for communing with God; determine to tune in to Him during your day, so you can lay the burdens of the day at His feet and receive rest.
Jesus can and will give rest to all who come! Let us endeavor to show up and receive as promised. Amen. Shalom.
Memory verse

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
