‘Beloved, let us love, for love is of God; in God alone love has its true abode. Beloved, let us love: for those who love, they only, are his children from above.’
Brethren, like the hymn above seeks to remind us, God is love and the source of love and therefore, when we are able to commune with God, we become messengers, conduits, dispensers of His love.
We have been given the ability to dispense love to others. There is so much love in you to give out!
Everyday we hear and see the tragic story of mankind; filled with pain, hurts, conflict and confusion. Everyone is on edge, and we are often caught in the crosshairs of one another’s internal battles. We take out our frustrations on one another: from parents to children, bosses to subordinates, spouses to each other, among friendships, family, social, business, and even stranger relationships; creating a very chaotic environment for ourselves.
People are often weary to show love, as it may have yielded negative feedback and hurts in the past, so it is so easy to find selfish acts than selfless ones; and many are bound in bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, resentment among others.
Brethren, many at times, the situations we meet are opportunities to show Jesus. Jesus assures us that there is love in abundance in our hearts and we must be peace bearers, ready to share the love He has freely given to us. Beloved, we draw from a well of love to give love.
Be determined to be give love today, to bear the fruit of love to those around us today because it is possible.
We are sent to exhibit the true, Agape, God kind of love to those around us by the help of The Holy Spirit.
Beloved, let us dispense love, for love is of God. For those who love, they only are His children from above. Amen.
Memory verse
