Quarantine
Just sit with yourself
No phones, no friends
Just you and the voices in your head
Traveling your thoughts from the past to the future
Of hopes, dreams and regrets.
In isolation, you realize
Yhh life can never be predicted
And as much as you’d like to be responsible for others
You need to reach for your own oxygen masks first.
This was an awakening
That we’ve been sleeping on our beds of busy lives, trying to survive
Wiping the sweat of our brows daily
Without becoming.
I sit in front of this mirror.
Naked… wanting to become
…and I don’t know how…
