She stood before him, naked.
Her heart racing, mind fused with adrenaline, pupils dilating
with the expectation of a child awaiting Santa on Christmas eve.
In her birthday suit,
Her features were partially illuminated by the moonlight that slid through the curtains
The shadow formed on the wall outlined her feminine frame..
the curve of her hips, fullness of her bosom, glory of her hair
She was a Masterpiece ..and she knew it.
She stood before him..expectant.
Her head was bowed, more in submission than shyness
this was life-changing; her nerves drowned in the moment.
He gestured her to look in his eyes, she obliged.
and in his gaze, she could almost touch his mind.
‘bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh’it read.
They exchanged a look…she drank in the sight.
They both lay, naked in body and soul
A covenant had been made when he spilled her blood on himself.
Nothing could separate them now, not even death.
She bared her soul and likewise he.
He possessed her holies of holies, leaving a part of himself there..
a new ‘them’ for her to nurture.
Two became one transposed to the third.
This was not sex; it was intimacy..starting with their hearts.
their souls merged into one, with HIM watching.
A God-approved ceremony He had to have been there!,
superceeding,.. blessing this act of worship.
There was nothing casual about this covenant.
He knew her, like no one else.
Like the Lord knew moses _ face to face!.
So there they both lay, side by side
naked and unashamed, lost in themselves.
He had found a good thing and would die to keep it..
and she, She was worth finding.
She deserved to be kept.
The clean sheets were stained
lost in each other in a marriage covenant sealed by blood
They could never be whole again apart..
Spirit, soul and body gone! lost!
to be found only in the One
..and Oh ..how divine!
